Interview Questions for Ensign Article on Moving Forward with Faith as a Widow/Widower

8.       If possible, could you tell a little bit about the experience of losing your spouse? (What were the circumstances, was it illness, a sudden unexpected loss?)

9.       What were your feelings at the time of losing your spouse?

10.   How did gospel principles and doctrines give you hope in the middle of such a difficult circumstance?

11.   How were you able to keep your faith after such a devastating loss?

12.   What did people do to reach out to you in the days, weeks, months, and even years following the death of a spouse?  What was helpful? What was not helpful, even if the person saying/doing it had good intentions of being helpful?

13.   As time passed, what have others done to reach out to you?  For instance, how have extended family members, home and visiting teachers, leaders, and other ward members met your temporal and spiritual needs?  How have they met the needs of any children who may still be at home?

14.   How have you been able to move ahead, to be independent, to reach out to others? (are there specific things you have done?)

15.   How have you been able to find joy and meaning in your life?

16.   What are your feelings now as time has passed?

17.   What blessings have you received from the Lord? (How has He carried you through your time of trial?)
